Uptime Energy Drinks – Can They Replace Your Daily Coffee?

Uptime Energy Drinks

Uptime Energy Drinks

Entrepreneurs work all kinds of crazy hours, and keeping productive can be a struggle. And while we normally drink a lot of coffee to keep up here at inside-Startups, we recently got the opportunity to try new energy drink products from Uptime.

The timing for our delivery of Uptime could not have been better. I have been suffering from red dry patches on my skin for while, and I discovered that it was too much acid my diet. Coffee is very acidic, and I needed to find a coffee replacement.

Replacing Coffee with Uptime

We started one morning with the Sugar Free version. It tastes a lot like Monster energy drink, only a little dryer I would say. In terms of flavor, I would say that its the best energy drink I’ve tried.

As far an energy boost, Uptime did not make me feel jittery like I have felt after consuming similar products. After drinking 12 ounces, I was able to get through my morning of blogging without distraction.

The lack of jitters makes sense. According to Caffieneinformer, Uptime has 11.82 milligrams of caffeine per fluid ounce. That’s more than a Coca-Cola, but about 1/5 as much as a cup of espresso.

The next day, we moved on to try the sugar-sweetened of Uptime. The flavor was much along the lines of Red Bull, though I do think the Uptime is less sweet and is the better beverage in my book. I found the energy boost to be about the same as the sugar-free version.

On day three of our coffee replacement program, we turned to the Uptime tablets. I started with their original energy blend, taking one tablet with a glass of water and banana in the morning. And while I didn’t really notice any effect, I didn’t feel drowsy in the morning either. So I would say that the tablets have more of a subtle, time-released effect.

Summary

Fueled by the Red Bull marketing machine, the energy drink market appears to be growing by leaps and bounds. With their unique blend of ingredients, Uptime is worth a try for grownups who have no plans for extreme sports.
